about

Life, like cooking, is about a little of this and a little of that!  A recipe is as good as the cook trying to follow what it says.  Good cooking is more than just following the recipe blindly. The cook has to be inspired, has a feel for the dish he or she is attempting, and is able to mentally taste the dish by just reading through the recipe!  It is not an exact science.  Your acquired tastes and appreciation for food developed from the meals prepared and eaten at the family table “garnished” with lots of love!  These are recipes I grew up with, as well as recipes which inspired me during my travels around the world.  They are my favorite and generally easy to replicate except for some traditional dishes handed down from my parents which I hope will continue to be prepared by the following generations to follow.  Those complicated recipes may take more effort but their taste and memories they invoke make it worth your while!
